This is my first posting. My sister has one of these computers, but she never lets us use it. Yesterday, we did a group discussion that I thought was different. We had to put one of our 5 pennies in the cup when we said something. The group was discussing cyber bullying and the others used their pennies quickly. And there I was, listening, hanging on to my pennies. I know about bullying but did not know where to start, so I said nothing. I saved my pennies.
Innovation by Design
Welcome to ED 202 As a part of the requirements for the class I have created a blog that you will contribute to on a regular basis, journaling your reflections as we work our way through the class. In addition, you will need to comment on the postings of the others in the class, providing them with feedback on their entries as they discuss their experiences related and their progression in the teaching profession. Be supportive and help each other grow professionally.

Francisco: Journal Entry #2
Well still working on this journal assignment from my professor. The experienced professor of 25 years, that hasn't been in a real classroom for a while. Well, I had a conference with one of my parents asking about parenting routines and gave plenty of suggestions for the family to implement at home, and what do you know? Still no student academic progress.
Goal: Build parenting partnerships - succeeded! Academic success - well they have to still work on it.
Journal Entry #1 - Bob
I don’t like school, but I don’t dislike it either. Sometimes I do my homework, but sometimes I
forget or play video games instead. I
want to do better, but I don’t know how.
I am journaling so that I can become a better student by taking more
responsibility for my learning. I
created a log to check that my work is done each night and it is working. I also like the list of “model behaviors”
that you gave me at the beginning of the semester. I wonder if I can combine the assignment log
and the “model behaviors” to create a mega-checklist of how to be a better
student? More on this next post.
